Sorry for the delay in getting updates to you guys. We ran into a couple little problems that had to be addressed and it has been really monopolizing our time. Some production related and some ATF related. Nothing serious, we ended up having to get a new FFL since we incorporated our business and that classifies as a change in entity. We have still been finalizing the code and testing under our existing license. We just can't go into full production until we have the new license in hand. Should be any day now.......
I'll post more info as soon as I have it. I'm down for doing a group buy for you guys here with a special model number and serial range.

Believe me, I know how the ATF likes to drag their feet where licensing is concerned, but if you could give us an estimate on pricing and a couple of pics of finished receivers if you have any, I would appreciate it.
Also, would you rather anyone getting in the group buy send all their FFL's and transfer all of them through me as the middle man to make your life simpler, or would you rather handle it from there? (I'm fairly certain I've provided you with a copy of my FFL, but that's simple enough to do if I haven't.) _________________

Yes they drag their feet. That is a really nice way of putting it.
We finally got our pre-licensing interview for the new license. Should have it in hand within a couple weeks.
We have produced a few complete receivers now from the machines. They are waiting for anodizing and then to recheck the dimensions after anodize and test. Shouldn't be long now. Here is a quick pic of one with the billet uppers we will be using.
John, we can handle the group buy however is easiest. We'll talk more about that when I have them in hand. I'll post an update as soon as possible.

That's a sweet looking reinforced billet and has some nice detail work to boot. I also like the extra material around the bolt release ears. It should prove to be stronger than a forging.
I also don't see any "mold" line typical to a forged lower around the top of the trigger well, or on the rear of the reciever just behind the grip either.
Very nice. _________________

So how soon can we start talking about the group buy terms? _________________ Whatever you do, do your work heartily, as for the Lord rather than for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance. It is the Lord Christ whom you serve. Col 3:23-24 |

How 'bout now?
Guys, I've spoken with Jason several times and I have also obtained permission from 103 and USMC to use a short run ModulAR Weapons as the model name for the stripped lower and everything is falling into place with licensing and machining and everything on Quentin Defense side of things is now a go as long as we can get at least 10 in the works and delivery before Christmas (about a month or so after collecting all the funds). I do not want to accept any funds until we get the 10 we need and the group buy is over because it'll be easier for me to keep up with that way.
MSRP for the recievers are $169 each, but pricing for the custom run/group buy will be $135 + $10 insured USPS shipping to your local FFL, which I think is a great price when looking at the prices for other billett receivers out there and some forged receivers from various companies.
Glock Holiday/Quentin Defense is serious about modweapons members being happy with not only the quality of the product, but also the price point at which he's able to do this for us and I think he's cutting us a great deal for it.
As for having them shipped in the white as some of you have expressed interest in, They've said it wasn't a problem to do that, but there won't be price break for the lack of anodizing since there has only been one or two that have asked for that being an option.
The production receivers will have the Semi/safe markings laser engraved after anodizing. Options for pictographs may also be available for anodized receivers and price will be dependent upon what you'd want laser engraved on it and will be done inhouse and at a minimal upcharge that has yet to be determined mostly because he doesn't know what he's getting himself into based on not exactly knowing what you guys want so if you want something custom engraved, ask in advance so I can speak with QD to determine the exact cost so there are no surprises.
Also keep in mind, the tolerances will be a couple thousanths larger with an in the white reciever since they've allowed for the Anodizing (plating) to be performed after machining, so if you want one unfinished, depending on the pin sizes, may be a little looser than expected due to that. I just wanted to throw that out there so everyone can make an educated decision.
It also has a low shelf interior so it is compatible with registered LL's and DIAS'.
With all of that said and out of the way, if you have any questions, just PM me and I'll answer them.
If possible, for the remaining part of the thread, I need to know who wants what and for how many.
When the buy ends on NOVEMBER 15th (I dont' want to extend it because I would like to have this done by Christmas and I have a life too), I will contact each of you via PM to get the details of where you guys need to send the MO and copies of your Local FFL's to me.
The group buy officially starts now!!! Baseline goal of 10 receivers, and once that goal is reached, we can add as many as we want.
Edited to change the stop date to NOVEMBER 15th after my typo. _________________
